TOBY ISRAEL
MEET YOUR HOSTS
Toby Israel is a vagabondess and storyteller currently rooted in Costa Rica. She has a metaphorical closet full of hats: Author, Editor, Marketing Consultant, Movement Artist, and Empowerment Self-Defense Instructor (ESDG Level 4). Toby holds a BA in Anthropology from Middlebury College and an MA in Peace and Media Studies from the University for Peace. She speaks four languages, and teaches in two.
Toby is the founder of Mujeres Fuertes Costa Rica and regularly facilitates retreats, workshops, and experiences designed to inspire and transform through connection with our inner power. Her first book, Vagabondess: A Guide to Solo Female Travel, was published in 2020. The common thread? Women’s empowerment, freedom, and adventure.
KIM WENGER HALL
MEET YOUR HOSTS
Based in the idyllic Upper Valley of New Hampshire, Kim is a muralist, hospital-based art educator, and all-inclusive yoga teacher. Trained under Angie Follensbee of Jai Studios, Kim has spent the last ten years crafting a style of teaching that is approachable, authentically joyous and excludes no one from receiving all the layers of benefit from the practice of yoga.
Years of yoga journeys and vacation travel to places where tourism has caused great damage sparked a desire to leave those “destinations” better off. Kim founded TravelAsana with a mission to bring like-minded yogis together: we deepen our yoga practice, explore our beautiful planet, and bring willing hands and hearts to serve projects around the world. “Travel Well, Have Fun, Do Good Work.”
