IMMERSIVE WELLNESS RETREAT

Silk Flow (Flujo) is an immersive wellness retreat designed to nurture deep relaxation and awaken the senses through the living beauty of Costa Rica's jungle. Held at the serene Selva Armonía Wellness Resort in Uvita, Costa Rica from April 4, 2026 to April 8, 2026, this experience invites you to slow down, soften, and reconnect--both inwardly and with nature.

Through intentional movement, natural medicines, live music, sound baths, honest communication, and shared laughter, we create space to elevate the body's senses to new heights while restoring balance to the mind and spirit.

Each morning begins at sunrise with Costa Rica's world-renowned coffee, savored slowly as the jungle comes alive around us. These mornings often flow effortlessly into gentle offerings such as sound baths, meditations, and breathwork, allowing the nervous system to settle and the day to unfold with ease. From there, we move into our first wellness class, such as core power yoga--designed to awaken strength, mobility, and presence.

After movement, time is intentionally left open for personal integration: rest, reflection, exploration, journaling, or simply being with yourself in this lush environment. When the body calls, we gather for our first meal of the day--fresh, organic cuisine inspired by local farms and the rich flavors of the Costa Rican jungle. Silk Flow (Flujo) is not about rushing or doing more--it's about flowing, feeling, and remembering what it means to be fully alive in your body.

DWIGHT SIMMS

Hey friends, I’m Dwight.

I live in the Bay Area now, but my roots stretch back to New Jersey—where movement, discipline, and the mind–body connection were woven into daily life. My father, a Doctor of Martial Arts and Bushido Hall of Fame inductee, raised me in a home where mastering the body was inseparable from mastering the self.

By ten years old I was already teaching, carrying forward lessons that shaped me through advanced black belt levels and into a new passion: soccer. That path led me to compete at the D1 collegiate level in New Jersey and eventually on national stages. When an injury cut that journey short, it opened another: the calling to help others move, heal, and rebuild.

Today, I work one-on-one in Physical Therapy (DPT), weight loss and muscle development, functional and strength training (NASM), aerobic kickboxing (6th-degree black belt), and geriatric health. On a broader scale, I serve as the Wellness Director for University Hospital of New Jersey and a wellness consultant for several Bay Area tech companies.

Across every discipline—martial arts, performance, rehabilitation, and human behavior—I’ve become convinced of one truth: the human body is built like a migrating animal. We think clearer, recover quicker, and feel most alive when we’re in motion.

SAMANTHA ALTÁN

¡Buenos días o buenas tardes! I’m Samantha, a Bay Area–based sound engineer, producer, educator, and mediator who finds joy in bringing creative visions to fruition. Raised by Guatemalan parents, I was inspired by my Papá—a by-ear musician who played marimba and piano and instilled in me a deep love for sound, which led me to begin my musical journey as a flutist and choir alto singer at eight years old.

While earning my Bachelor of Applied Science in Sound Arts degree, I was introduced to Tibetan Singing Bowls and became captivated by their ability to nourish and re-center the soul. I explored how sound and frequency support calm and healing, and have since woven these instruments into both my professional and personal practices, sharing their restorative qualities through sound baths and other projects/events.

As an educator and collaborator at heart, I thrive on building community and curating meaningful and memorable experiences. Currently, I work with private and public clients/companies, artists, collectives, and schools utilizing my skillsets and ADHD as a superpower to uplift communities, recalibrate nervous systems, and support holistic wellness. Through sound, teaching, and collaborations, I continue to explore the transformative power of sonic flows one frequency at a time, rooted in peaceYmusic. I look forward to connecting with you in Costa Rica!
